Mt Dhaulagiri is the eye of Dhaulagiri trek. The seventh highest point of earth. Round Dhaulagiri trek is one of the off the beaten path for trekking. The trek is full of adventure and wilderness with rugged Himalayan terrain. Kali Gandaki valley, French pass, Ghorepani, deepest gorge, icy glaciers are the attraction of the trek. Trekking to the highest point is difficult due to the high altitude. Excellent physical fitness is a must for trekking. If you have an altitude problem, weak respiratory system and heart disorder, consult with a physician. Basic mountaineering skills is best for the trek.

September to November and March to May the best season for Dhaulagiri trekking.

Food and Accommodation

Food and Accommodation will be provided as available over the trekking pathways. Star hotel lodging in Kathmandu valley and rural homestay at village areas. Dhaulagiri trek popular as camp trek. Tasty and nutritious food will be prepared in camp kitchen over the camping areas.

 

Day 01: A flight to Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu and you will be received by our staff at Tribhuwan International Airport. You will arrive at the place for accommodation and take a rest for the day. You can visit the sites of Kathmandu if you want on the day and preparation for trek.
Day 02: Drive to Beni passing through Pokhara
Drive towards Beni enjoying rural villages scene and following Trishuli river and Marsayangdi river, meadows, minor hills and Seti river. Beni is a village full of natural beauty, drive along Modi river and Kali Gandaki river bank.
Day 03: Darbang and Trek to Dharapani
We will drive towards the beautiful village of Darbang. Crossing Village of Babiyachaur, Tatopani- the natural hot spring, Tibetan community people, chortens, Dudh Khola are the attraction of the trek. Overnight stay at Dharapani.
Day 04: Trek to Muri
Crossing through villages, dense forests we will head towards Muri village where majority of Magar community people lives. We will also pass through Sibang village. We can view Manapathi Himal, Dhaulagiri range, Gurja Himal, terrace field and snowcapped mountains.
Day 05: Trek to Bagar from Muri
Walking through steep roads and passes bamboo forest we reach Bagar. Terrace fields, farmhouses, Myagdi Khola, rivers, green forests, waterfall, cliffs we reach to Bagar. Overnight stay at Bagar.
Day 06: Trek to Doban Kharka
Following the rivers, walking uphill and green forest of Rhododendron and bamboo around the path we will trek towards Doban Kharka. Spend night at Doban Kharka.
Day 07: Trek to Sallaghari and overnight at camp
Crossing green lush forest, wooden bridges, uphill and downhills, pine forest and Myagdi River. Passing over the rocky pathways, Choriban Khola and the views of Dhaulagiri I. spend night at Sallaghari.
Day 08: Trek to Italian Camp
Trekking to Italian camp enjoying the views of Mt Dhaulagiri I, II and Tsaurabong, crossing high hills, rivers and grassland. Stary overnight in available lodge. Sightseeing of Puchhar Base camp, Japanese Base camp and other amazing views on the day.
Day 09:  Trek to Japanese Base Camp
Trekking toward the Japanese Base camp passing the narrow and challenging trail. It is also popular as Glacier camp. Passing over the tricky spot and glacier the views are really spectacular, rough ways and dangerous that makes the trek adventurous.
Day 10: Trek to Dhaulagiri Base Camp
Pathways to Dhaulagiri Base camp is full of glaciers and moraine. Amazing views of snowcapped mountains, tough pathway covered of smooth ice makes relief of tough walk. On the day we will camp on tent for overnight stay. Best ever feeling of enjoying views of Dhaulagiri I, II and IV make memories for lifelong.
Day 11: Trek to Hidden valley crossing through French La Pass
Crossing moraine walls, mountain ranges we will climb to French La pass enjoying eye catching views of the Himalaya and hidden valley. Steep roads, views of Dhaulagiri I and Tukuche Peak, Mukut Himal, snowy slopes of hidden valley, diverse vegetation and many more. We spend night in tented camp.
Day 12: Tek to Yak Kharka via Dhampus Pass
Trekking to Yak Kharka crossing through Dhampus pass offers Himalayan scenery, waterfalls, village, culture and history of the village. Overnight stay at Yak Kharka in the tented camp.
Day 13: Trek to Marpha
Marpha is a famous Apple valley o Nepal. Walking through Kali Gandaki Valley, Alu Bari and Gorge floor we will head towards Marpha. Visiting Buddhist Monastery, Tibetan houses and flagstone over the road. Famous Thakali cuisine of Tukuche for lunch and overnight stay at Marpha.
Day 14: Trek to Kalopani from Marpha
The trekking trail covers Gandaki valley, high mountain scenery, trees and village full of greenery. Wide varieties of vegetation, pine forest, Tibetan people and their handicraft, refugee camp, narrow gorges and many other attractions of the trek.
Day 15: Trek to Tatopani
Another day walking through beautiful tropical vegetation, river, gorge and bridges we will head towards Tatopani. Ruptse waterfall is the attraction for the day. Bath in natural hot spring pool makes feel refreshed of trekking tiredness.
Day 16: Trek to Sikha
Passing through villages and terraces we will trek to Sikha. Village is rich in culture and tradition dominated by Magar Community with their own unique lifestyle.
Day 17: Trek to Ghorepani and Poon Hill
Trek to Ghorepani is full of natural beauty, rhododendron forest, views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. Climb to Poon Hill the famous destination for sunrise and sunset, ample views of Himalayas, peaks, Lilgiri, Churen and Gurja. Fresh air of the surrounding makes feels like heaven. Poon Hill trek is such a spiritual trek you will feel forever.
Day 18: Drive back to Pokhara
We will drive back to Pokhara and spend the whole day enjoying sightseeing of the city full of temples and lakes with views of Himalayan ranges.
Day 19: Drive to Kathmandu
We will return back to Kathmandu on Tourist bus. Enjoying the sightseeing of villages, forests, rivers over the road. Enjoy Nepali Cuisine for dinner at star hotel and enjoy the memories of trek.
Day 20: Departure to your land.
